Filling the well of inspiration

Today I’ve been for a wander around the open gardens and courtyards in the town of Wirksworth in Derbyshire. Such beautiful cottage style gardens in a stunning town with fabulous views.

Just a few of the gorgeous gardens I had the joy of exploring today in the glorious sunshine.

The forecast looks good all weekend, so I’ll be heading back tomorrow to paint in one of the gardens that particularly enchanted me. That’s for another journal post!
