The Hopton Hall Month of Art Part 1

I’m writing this at the halfway point of my participation in the Month of Art, hosted by the wonderful Hopton Hall in Derbyshire, about 8 miles from my home.

Two weekends in and there’s been no sign of rain, and it’s been a heatwave, bringing lots of visitors to walk through the beautiful rose gardens, and to peruse the vast array of artists and makers who have been hanging out together. Some are painting in the gardens of the hall, others working in the cool of their purpose built gazebos, with others running workshops. So there’s lots to do and see if you're able to visit yourself. More details about the event can be found here

There’s another two weekends to go, culminating in a big exhibition at the hall of all the art created during the month of art, and some prizes awarded too.
